The rear of the barrel also has a single "Crown/Script Letter" proof with an "Imperial Eagle" proof on the right side. The left side of the barrel extension is marked with the three "Crown/Script" Letter proofs next to an "Imperial Eagle" proof. The top of the chamber is marked "1916" for the year of manufacture and the front toggle is marked with the "Crown/ERFURT". The Erfurt Luger is a fairly scarce Luger to find as they had lower production numbers than the DWM models. This is an example of a standard WWI 1908 German Luger pistol as manufactured by the Erfurt factory in 1916.
